While our roots are in the founding BRICS countries — Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa — the BRICS International Fashion Federation welcomes all who align with our principles and aspirations. Our inclusive federation extends its membership beyond the BRICS acronym to any fashion and textile institution that shares our vision.

The BRICS International Fashion Federation is dedicated to identifying, nurturing and spotlighting emerging talent in developing markets. We are committed to providing these visionaries with a global platform and local events to ensure their creative work is celebrated globally.
Promoting sustainability

We believe in fashion's ability to be both luxurious and conscientious. Our goal is to promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices, striving to implement transparent methodologies that will significantly reduce the fashion industry's carbon footprint. Slow fashion, characterized by mindful consumption and production, will be at the heart of the BRICS IFC agenda as we strive to reduce the environmental impact of fashion.
Strengthening cultural exchange

The BRICS IFC will emphasize the growth of cultural heritage interactions, promoting the exchange and preservation of time-honored crafts and traditions. Our federation is dedicated to creative synergies and is committed to enhancing collaboration between creative organizations/institutions in member countries — including art, cinema, museum activities, crafts, technology and more.

In an unprecedented move, we aim to consolidate the myriad of businesses from emerging markets into a cohesive marketplace, facilitating seamless interactions and eliminating cross-border issues. The Federation will serve as a beacon of information, continually updating a global audience on news from emerging markets and emerging talent. We will also focus on educating brands and designers, providing insights on sustainable practices, innovative techniques and market trends. The Federation aims to increase interaction between educational organizations in member countries, facilitating the sharing of knowledge and best practices.
